A Los Angeles prosecutor says the killing of Nipsey Hussle was premeditated by a man charged with fatally shooting the Grammy Award-winning rapper outside his clothing store three years ago.

The bomb squad was in the process of removing the fireworks at the time of the blast, the LAPD said.
"Grief and healing have been constant companions on this journey," the actor said about grieving the rapper and activist who was killed two years ago.

Franklin was on death row since 2016 for the deaths of nine women and a teenage girl in South Los Angeles. An autopsy will determine the 67-year-old's cause of death.
After being shot beside the rapper in South Los Angeles, Kerry Lathan was arrested on an alleged parole violation.
"We must stop this senseless violence," pleaded Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore.
“I hope his memory inspires more good work in Crenshaw and communities like it,” the former president's letter read.
Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.) entered the South Los Angeles rapper and entrepreneur into the congressional record.
The NBA star recognized the slain community activist who he said, "actually gave back to his community."
