Ayman al-Zawahri, who has led al-Qaida since Osama bin Laden's death in 2011, has been killed in a U.S. military operation.
Ayman al-Zawahri, rumored to have died months ago, praised al-Qaida attacks including one back in January. He did not mention the Taliban’s recent takeover of Afghanistan.
