Anyone with a passing knowledge of the Kardashian family knows Kris Jenner is deeply involved in her children’s lives. But now she’s giving new meaning to the term “hands-on” mom.
Turns out the momager actually delivered Stormi, daughter Kylie Jenner’s first child with rapper Travis Scott, in a cloud of secrecy back in February.
“She did really, really well” Kris Jenner told daughters Kourtney and Kim Kardashian of their sister in a clip from a new episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
“She just kept saying: ‘I just don’t feel any pain.’ You’d see these contractions like crazy and she would go: ‘I just am not feeling it.’ I’m like, ‘This is really weird!’” Jenner said.
Jenner described her daughter as “such a trooper” during the delivery, which the new mom didn’t reveal to the public until days later.
“She was so calm. It was really exciting,” Jenner said, adding: “I delivered the baby! I delivered her. I pulled her out.”
Kourtney Kardashian was apparently already aware of her mom’s crucial role in the delivery room, but Kim Kardashian was caught by surprise, reacting to the news with an “Ew!”
True Kardashian scholars will remember that Kourtney pulled out her firstborn son Mason herself during the delivery and allowed the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” camera crew to capture the moment in the delivery room, while her sisters and mother watched.
Kylie Jenner chose to keep her pregnancy a secret despite rumors that she was expecting. She apologized to her fans after the fact and released a video documenting the pregnancy.
“I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all of the assumptions,” she wrote in a note on social media announcing the birth of her child.
“I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. My pregnancy was one I could not do in front of the world. I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the positive stress-free and healthy way I knew how.”
The 21-year-old went on to describe pregnancy as the “most beautiful, empowering and life-changing experience.”
Stormi has been a regular fixture on Kylie Jenner’s Instagram, even though her mom has since taken measures to keep her out of the spotlight.
Scott recently revealed that the 7-month-old is about to hit a major milestone.
“We about to be walking soon,” he wrote alongside a photo on Instagram of Stormi rocking some Air Jordan sneakers.
Just like mom, Stormi is growing up alongside her family members as both Khloe and Kim Kardashian welcomed daughters, True and Chicago, within weeks of Stormi’s birth.
“It’s crazy how fast they grow, because Chi is just, like, two weeks older, but you can tell she’s a little bit more advanced,” Kylie Jenner told the Evening Standard in May. “And then, right when Stormi hits two weeks, she’s doing the same things Chi was doing and they’re like ... it’s just crazy to see them grow up together.”
