Destiny's Child Blesses The World With A Mannequin Challenge Reunion

This was great, but a new album would be even better.

Viral internet challenges rarely make much sense, but if they reunite the members of Destiny’s Child, we are 100 percent supportive.

Following the lead of high schoolers, celebrities and professional football teams, Beyoncé, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland joined forces Monday to run their own version of the Mannequin Challenge, which requires participants to freeze in place while someone films around them.

The iconic trio filmed the challenge during Rowland’s 2-year-old son’s birthday party as “Every Ghetto, Every City” by Lauryn Hill played in the background. The video was posted to Instagram by Williams and Rowland and, combined, gained over 400,000 views.

The mini reunion made us a little nostalgic for the good old Destiny’s Child days and now we’re crossing our fingers for a comeback similar to the group’s revival during the 2013 Superbowl halftime show.

The group’s old record label did just make the trio an official Instagram account a couple of weeks ago, so we’re going to keep praying for a full-on resurrection.
