Sushi Cologne By Demeter Fragrance Library Doesn't Actually Smell Like Fish

It's o-fish-al — sushi cologne exists.

But, why you may ask, as Food Beast already has, would anyone anywhere ever want to reek of raw fish?

As it turns out, the folks cooking up scents at the Demeter Fragrance Library don't actually think anyone wants to smell like that. The cologne, which can be purchased for $39.50 per four-ounce bottle, combines "the fresh scent of just cooked sticky rice and straight from the seaside seaweed, laced with hints of ginger and lemon essences," according to its product description.

Food Republic writes that "spraying the scent of 'just-cooked sticky rice' over your neck, arms and ankles sounds a little better than spraying the scent of 'freshly caught Spanish mackerel' over your neck, arms and ankles."

The Fragrance Library has concocted other bizarre scents like Dirt, Crayon and Laundromat, making the company kind of like the Jelly Bellies of cologne.
