Richard Boudreaux Wears Bucket Instead Of Mask During Burglary (VIDEO)

No mask? No problem! At least, that appears to be the thinking behind a recent burglary in Slidell, La.

Richard Boudreaux allegedly burglarized several businesses in his hometown, including his former employer, Kenny's Seafood, according to multiple local reports. But the 23-year-old apparently forgot his mask at home, so he wore a bucket over his head to hide his face from the restaurant's security cameras.

While Boudreaux may have thought he was fooling the cameras with his makeshift disguise, investigators said Boudreaux's face has already been spotted on the restaurant's security footage, according to the United Press International.

"Boudreaux dressed in all camouflage, wore gloves to prevent leaving fingerprints, and packed burglary tools. Everything was going as planned until Boudreaux realized he forgot his mask to cover his identity," Slidell police said in a statement posted on Facebook.

According to Greater New Orleans' Times-Picayune, local authorities apprehended Boudreaux at his home shortly after the crime last week. Boudreaux allegedly cleaned out the cash register at Kenny's on Jan. 8.

Jimmy Kimmel joked about Boudreaux's bucket during his late night talk show Wednesday, calling it the "perfect disguise for any criminal who doesn't want to see where he's walking."

Boudreaux has been charged with two counts of burglary, along with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, the Times-Picayune reports. Police included the drug charges for items found in his home at the time of his arrest.
