Rangers Ballpark Evacuated: Hailstorm Delays Rangers-White Sox Game (VIDEO)

Fans Evacuated From Rangers Ballpark During Hailstorm

Fans were evacuated from Rangers Ballpark on Tuesday night during the Rangers-White Sox game due to a thunderstorm and tornado warnings.

There were reports of severe weather in the fourth inning and authorities started to direct the fans into the tunnels beneath the stadium.

Hail began to fall as the fans made their way out of the stands and the grounds crew put the tarp on the field.

Fans went out of the stadium through the visiting and home dugouts, out through the large gates in left field and right center field and through the concourses. Rangers officials called it a precaution as heavy rain and hail has already fallen at the park.

Reports say the stadium has seen baseball-sized hail. Tornado sirens were going off in and around the Dallas area.

Fans started to head back to their seats 15 minutes after the hailstorm. The game resumed at 11:20 p.m. CT. Scroll down to watch the video.
