Pat Buchanan On GOP Coverage: 'Watch Something Besides My Old Network, MSNBC' (AUDIO)

Pat Buchanan directed people away from his former network MSNBC for coverage of the Republican primaries on Monday.

The former MSNBC commentator was dropped by the network in February, after months of being suspended for the publication of his latest book. Critics charged that the book was racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic, which Buchanan denied.

On Monday's "The Laura Ingraham Show," Buchanan pushed back against some conservative commentators, including The Washington Post's George Will, who he said have given up on the GOP's chances at the presidency. The Daily Caller reports that he said he was "more optimistic" than Will and pointed to polls that he said showed potential weak areas for Obama.

"This can be won. If all Republicans — if and when Romney advances on this nomination pull together, I think Obama is not invincible," Buchanan said.

"And this thing is winnable," he continued. "And I would tell folks, look you got to watch something besides my old network, MSNBC where you’ll just get downhearted. You know, check some of the other networks and check the papers and read.”
