Parent's Affair Discovered On Facebook By Slate Reader (VIDEO)

What To Do If You Suspect Your Stepparent Is Cheating

What would you do if you found out your stepparent might be cheating on your biological parent?

That's the position one Slate reader has found herself in. "Facebook TMI" wrote to "Dear Prudence" columnist Emily Yoffe recently about her ethical dilemma, detailed in the video above.

"I was checking my Facebook page today and noticed one of the promotional ads featured a picture of my stepmother and a plug for an app... This ad caught my attention because it was for an online dating site and indicated that my stepmother is a user," the Slate reader said. "My dad and stepmom have been married for a number of years, longer than this website has been around so I know it isn't a relic from before their marriage."

What's the best course of action -- showing dad the evidence, confronting the stepmom, or keeping the information under wraps?
