Max Talbot, Philadelphia Flyers Forward, Rappels Down 20-Story Building For Charity

NHL Player Takes Lockout Regimen To New Heights

Max Talbot sure is putting his lockout-driven downtime to good use.

On the day the NHL canceled the Winter Classic, the Flyers forward rappelled down One Penn Plaza in Philadelphia's Center City for WMMR's Preston & Steve radio show. The stunt was a fundraiser for Outward Bound, a youth leadership program that uses the outdoors as its classroom.

"The view was great," Talbot told CSN Philly. "It’s nice to get emotions like that."

Talbot has been keeping busy amid the league's labor dispute. He shot series of promotional videos for the upcoming video game, "Assassin's Creed III," that demonstrated his off-the-ice skills, the New York Post notes. The videos include a clip of his intense offseason workout regimen and a sequence in which he shoots a hockey puck with a bow and arrow.
