Lee Westwood Hits Ball Into Woman's Shirt During Match Play (VIDEO)

WATCH: Lee Westwood's Shot Finds It's Way Into Woman's Shirt

Lee Westwood was down two holes when he stepped up to the 13th tee in his Match Play semifinal against Rory McIlroy. The 38-year-old Westwood was going to need to muster all of his skill and likely get a few lucky bounces if he was to advance to the final round. His skill betrayed him on his tee shot, which sailed wide left. Of course, the unwanted path of the ball proved far less interesting than the unexpected bounce.

After dropping into a crowd of spectators, the ball bounced up into the sweater of a woman watching the event.

According to Shane Bacon of CBS' "Eye On Golf" blog, Westwood's caddie asked the lady, "would you mind walking 250 yards further" in order to drop the ball into a favorable position. Unfortunately for Westwood, she declined. Westwood would lose the hole and eventually the semifinal.

McIlroy advanced to the final, where he was defeated by Hunter Mahan.

Something very similar happened earlier this month when Phil Mickelson's tee shot somehow wounded up in a spectator's shorts at the 2012 Northern Trust Open.
