What Iyanla Vanzant And Oprah Want All Single Moms To Know

The words a woman uses to define herself hold a great deal of power. That's the message Oprah and Iyanla Vanzant want to get across when they welcome an audience filled with single mothers to "Oprah's Lifeclass" for a no-holds-barred discussion about the pressing issues facing single moms today.

"What you say to yourself -- the words that you use, that you play over and over and over in your head -- that becomes your reality," Oprah says in the above clip.

To demonstrate the importance of positive language, Iyanla says to think of your mouth as a womb. "Make sure that what comes out of here is what you want to give birth to," she says.

Actress Nia Long ("The Single Moms Club") says she knows what mantra she wants to tell herself about motherhood. "Single moms have more fun," she says. "There it is!"

"Oprah's Lifeclass" airs Friday, Feb. 28 at 9 p.m. ET on OWN.
