Demi Lovato Returning To 'X Factor' To Judge Season 3

She's Back!

Demi Lovato is returning to "The X Factor" to spar with Simon Cowell again on the judges panel.

The pop star and actress will be back for Season 3 after being Season 2's youngest "X Factor" judge and mentor to the Young Adult group. The 20-year-old also famously fought with Cowell and wasn't afraid to stand up to him.

"I am so excited to return," Lovato said in a statement about returning to "The X Factor." "Last season was an unbelievable experience and I really enjoyed developing personal relationships with the contestants and the panel. I look forward to taking my previous experience and applying it to make this season even better!"

Lovato didn't have a mentee in the Top 3 on "X Factor" Season 2, something Cowell teased her about endlessly.

"I couldn't be happier that Demi wants to come back this year," Cowell said in a statement. "She's a superstar in her own right and was a fantastic mentor last year. Even though she can be really, really annoying -- I truly enjoyed working with her and so did the artists. I'm especially pleased she's back, even during her world tour!"

Though Lovato is returning to judge "The X Factor," judges LA Reid and Britney Spears will not be back, leaving two more spots open on the Season 3 panel.

No premiere date is set for "X Factor" Season 3 but open auditions are underway and next hit New Orleans, Louisiana on April 14.
