Emma Watson won't get fitted for a glass slipper, but Bella Heathcote might. Deadline.com reports that the "Dark Shadows" star is on a list of three actresses testing to play Cinderella in Kenneth Branagh's upcoming take on the famed fairy tale.

Watson, who next stars in "The Bling Ring" and "This Is The End," was in talks to play Cinderella for Branagh earlier this year, but no deal could be reached. The actress had previously circled the role four years ago when Marilyn Manson was making a musical version of "Cinderella." (That happened.)

Should Heathcote get the role, it would be the latest high profile part for the Australian-born actress. Heathcote shot to fame thanks to "Dark Shadows" and was recently cast in a new Hugh Grant comedy. She also starred in David Chase's directorial debut, "Not Fade Away."

Branagh was hired to direct "Cinderella" earlier this year after Mark Romanek bowed out of the film. Cate Blanchett was cast as the Cinderella's wicked stepmother and has remain attached as the film as gone through its many permutations.

Heathcote isn't alone on the short list, of course; for more on "Cinderella," including the other two actresses up for the part, hit Deadline.com.
