Tonic, Peter Samuelson Team Up To Raise $5,000 To House Homeless Angelenos

After interviewing homeless Angelenos about their needs, T.V. producer Peter Samuelson decided that a transportable roof would help each individual have shelter when they have no where to stay.

He founded Everyone Deserves A Roof and sponsored a competition to find a way to construct a portable shelter for homeless people. The shelter pod has been dubbed the "EDAR" after the initials of Samuelson's organization.

Now, Tonic is teaming up with Samuelson to raise $5,000 to give EDARs to 10 homeless people on Los Angeles' Skid Row.

Individuals can join the campaign by making a donation and sharing the message to friends through social media.

The Los Angeles Times took a look at Samuelson's EDAR project in 2008.
