Sisters Use Craigslist To Find Organ Donor For Father, Others

When their father needed a kidney transplant, sisters Cynthia, Heather and Roseann Flood hoped they would be able to give him one of their own.

But when none of them proved to be a match, the sisters turned to an unlikely source for help-- Craigslist. And it worked. After successfully finding a match for their father, the sisters decided to do the same thing for others, Tonic reports, by setting up a foundation to match transplant donors and recipients.

The Flood Sisters Kidney Foundation of America has now matched four organ donor-recipient pairs and operates a website to educate the public on organ donation.
