William H. Macy Wants A Moratorium On 'Shameless' Scenes Where Things Get Shoved Up His Butt

William H. Macy Is Tired Of Scenes Where Things Get Shoved Up His Butt

William H. Macy has done a ton of insane things as Frank Gallagher on Showtime's "Shameless," but there's one kind of outrageous scene the actor just can't do anymore.

Macy spoke with HuffPost Live's Ricky Camilleri on Thursday about the show's fifth season, and when asked about the wildest thing his character has ever done, Macy estimated Frank has had so many things shoved "up his butt" that he could make a reel of them all that lasted half an hour.

"I went to the writers and I said, 'Let's have a moratorium on Frank's colon for a while. Let's ease up on that,'" Macy said. "They said, 'Okay -- right after this next episode.'"

The actor added that he's not concerned only about himself, but also about his co-star Joan Cusack.

"I've known her forever, and she's a bit shy, and oh Lord, the stuff she shoved up my butt, or pretended to -- including her right foot. They wrote this thing where it's implied that she stuck her entire foot in my ass," Macy said.
