Final Fantasy Gamers Hold Gay Pride Parade (VIDEO)

Sometimes we see Pride in the most unlikely places.

What is reported as the largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) gaming guild, Rough Trade Gaming Community, recently came together in an awesome display of queer pride in their own little virtual universe: Final Fantasy XIV.

According to Slate, the parade was inspired by the announcement from game developers that same-sex marriage would be allowed within the Final Fantasy role-playing world.

"[Players] will be able to pledge their eternal love and or friendship in a ceremony of eternal bonding," game director and producer Naoki Yoshida said at the time of the announcement. "And this will be open to people regardless of race, creed, and gender. Two players… if they want to be together, in Eorzea, they can -- through this eternal bonding ceremony.”
