LA's Most Mindbending Summer Event

Musicians, masked Mexican wrestlers, mad scientists and Moth storytellers are coming together in Los Angeles for one of the summer's most mind-melting events: TwentyWonder's "A Carnival Of The Mind."

Now in its fifth year, the annual 21-and-over fundraiser for the Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles gathers performance artists, roller derby athletes and gourmet food trucks at LA Derby Dolls' Doll Factory in downtown LA for a night of eats and visual treats with "the sweetest people of Los Angeles," said Jim Hodgson, Director of DSALA.

Since 2010, the event has raised over $400,000 to help support people living with Down syndrome/Trisomy 21 in the greater Los Angeles area. Some of that money has helped DSALA host four basketball camps and a reading program in LA. Thanks to the fundraiser, the organization has also partnered with UCLA on medical research projects and gives free seminars to parents of children with Down syndrome.

WHO: Social Distortion’s Jonny Two Bags, Dengue Fever, Rudely Interrupted (from
