Don't Worry, Twitter Knew What Milan Lucic Said During Post-Series Handshake

Bruins Player Ruined NHL Tradition But Twitter Made It All Better

One of the most cherished traditions in the NHL is the handshake line at the end of a playoff series. Boston Bruins winger Milan Lucic appeared to ruin that tradition after his team was eliminated by the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday night. During the post-series handshake, Lucic was shown exchanging some words that didn't seem very civil to Montreal's Dale Weise and Alexei Emelin.

Take a look in the clip above.

When Lucic was told about Weise's accusations in the locker room, the 25-year-old responded saying that the words were "said on the ice and it will stay on the ice so if he wants to be a baby about it he can make it public."

Bruce Arthur of the Toronto Star wrote that TV replays appeared to show him say "I’m going to f------ kill you next year."

Those on Twitter who saw the handshake had other ideas about what Lucic said.
