David Chase Drops BIG 'Sopranos' News

Are 'The Sopranos' Making A Comeback?

It's been seven years and we still haven't forgiven "The Sopranos" for leaving us. More specifically, for they way they left us.

The show's final episode had an ending that divided its fans -- you either loved it or you really hated it, there was no in between -- but creator David Chase says he might not be done diving into the mobster universe.

Chase took part in a panel discussion at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York City this week and after a barrage of questions related to that infamous cut-to-black scene, he finally came clean about plans for future "Sopranos" projects.

"If I had a really great way to do it, I would do maybe a prequel," Chase said. "Somebody gave me a book about Newark in the 1920s about gangsters in Newark. That kind of interests me but not enough that I would have done it.” Chase did say that he's gotten plenty of requests for more "Sopranos" fare and it looks like all of the peer-pressure might be slowly starting to wear him down.

“A lot of people have talked to me about it," Chase said. "And frankly I still flirt with the idea sometimes."

We like flirting. Flirting is good!
