Heidi Klum Facing Backlash Over 'Redface' Photo Shoot

This is just all sorts of messed up.

We're not sure how we missed this, but thanks to Jezebel (and hundreds of outraged Facebook users), we finally got to see the photos of Heidi Klum's attempt at a "Native American-inspired" photo shoot featuring the contestants of "Germany's Next Top Model" -- which, in other words, means a bunch of non-Native women posing in an array of sexy outfits and headdresses, completely misrepresenting an entire population of people and offending many more in the process.

Somehow, the entire shoot is still up on Klum's Facebook page, and she has yet to make a comment in regards to the photos. What we do see, however, is an outpouring of criticism not from Klum's followers but from media activists as well.

The fashion industry has had its fair share of racial mess-ups, and it is certainly disappointing to see a leader in the field seemingly show poor judgement in the name of a few photos. We'll have to wait and see what Klum's response will be, but for now, you can see some of them below:
