Denver Ranks Fourth On EPA's List Of Energy Efficient Cities

Denver ranked number four in a new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency study that listed the most energy efficient cities in America based on number of green buildings.

The rankings were calculated based on how many commercial buildings were designated "Energy Star Leaders" - building that reduce energy use by 10 percent.

In 2009 Denver has 136 Energy Star Buildings and $29.6 million in cost savings.

Fort Collins, Colorado also appears on the list, coming it at number 24.
