Passengers on a Delta jet had a few scary moments on Wednesday evening when the plane was forced to make an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, and ended up in the grass.
Delta Flight 886 from Atlanta was bound for New York's LaGuardia Airport when it reported low hydraulic pressure, local media reported.
That could indicate a problem with the brakes.
The plane was then diverted to JFK for its longer runway, CBS New York reported.
Passenger Michael Steehler provided CBS with a photograph of the scene after the landing:
The plane, carrying 118 passengers, made what appeared to be a normal landing, but ended up in the grass while taxiing. It's not immediately clear why the plane went left the tarmac.
"It was a little scary," passenger Bhatia Tasneem told NBC New York. "I have to admit, my heart started racing a little bit, and I was worried about what may or may not happen. You can't help but have that question when something like this happens."
Passenger Victor Chemptob told NBC that everything felt find until the very end, "when it felt like stopping short, someone slamming on the brakes."
There were no reports of injuries.
