Michael Bennet Will Introduce Reform Bill To Prohibit Members Of Congress From Becoming Lobbyists (VIDEO)

Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) plans to introduce a package of Congressional reforms that will include preventing former members of Congress from becoming lobbyists, he announced on MSNBC's "Rachel Maddow Show" on Tuesday night.

Bennet also wants to eliminate the Senate power to place holds anonymously and reduce the ease through which a filibuster can stonewall such a large degree of legislation.

The interview began with a discussion about the future of the public option -- Bennet wrote the public option letter, which effectively made the case for passing a public option package through the budget reconciliation process -- and moved on to the recent developments in the Bunning obstruction drama, which ended last night.

"It does feel a lot like Alice In Wonderland," Bennet said of the recent wave of Senate obstructionism. "It doesn't make any sense."
