Tonight on PBS, I sit down with actors Barkhad Abdi and Lupita Nyong'o. Two years ago, Abdi was picked from an open casting call to co-star with Tom Hanks in the film Captain Phillips. His debut screen appearance garnered him a Golden Globe nomination. Nyong'o has won numerous honors for her feature acting debut as Patsey in the critically acclaimed film, 12 Years a Slave, including SAG and Golden Globe nominations.
