First Look At 'Gone Girl' Shows Ben Affleck As Nick Dunne

Twentieth Century Fox offered up a first look of "Gone Girl" for fans, featuring leading man Ben Affleck.

The movie studio tweeted out a photo of Affleck on the set of the upcoming big-screen adaptation of Gillian Flynn's fictional thriller. In the shot, Affleck can be seen portraying Nick Dunne, a man in a rocky marriage whose life implodes when his wife goes missing and he becomes a suspect for murder.

Dressed in a blazer and button down, he stands on stage beside a "missing" poster of his wife, Amy, played by actress Rosamund Pike.

Last month, the Oscar-winning actor told Entertainment Weekly that David Fincher's adaptation of Flynn's novel is on-point.

“I don’t want to give away too much, because if you know the book, you know that there are set of reveals that you would want to maintain the integrity of,” Affleck said. “But I will say that Gillian adapted it and I think it’s very, very faithful to her book. If you read the book and liked it, you will definitely like the movie.”

The film is set to hit theaters Oct. 3, 2014.
