The wait is over, Marshmallows. The "Veronica Mars" movie is set for release on March 14, 2014.

Just over a year after show creator Rob Thomas asked fans to contribute to a Kickstarter for the film revival of the cut-too-short show, the movie, simply titled, "Veronica Mars," will hit theaters in a wider release than originally announced, EW reported. It will have a nationwide release instead of appearing on a few screens in a few cities.

Thomas raised over $5.7 million from over 91,000 backers on the crowd funding site to support the film revival.

When we pick up with Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell), she will have already transferred schools, gotten a degree and gone to law school. The film will follow her as she heads back to Neptune, Calif. to help her former boyfriend, Logan (Jason Dohring), who was arrested and accused of murdering his pop star girlfriend.

Kristen Bell tweeted her excitement earlier this morning:

Head on over to EW to see an exclusive clip of the movie.
