It's official -- Barneys launched its "A New York Holiday" collection with Jay Z today. And if you thought a few racial discrimination lawsuits would stop this luxury retailer and rapper collabo from happening, think again.

While Barneys is pointing the finger at the NYPD for it's racial profiling woes and Jay Z is attempting to redirect focus (and money) to his Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation, the whole world now has the opportunity to partake in all this hoopla by purchasing ridiculously priced items that no one in their right mind actually needs.

Anyone in need of a cotton t-shirt by Balmain with a few patches of leather for $995? Or maybe you've just been dying to get your gams into a pair of leather boxing shorts, embroidered with gold stars for a cool $2,590. Let's not forget those $675 plastic sunglasses you can't live without. And no wardrobe is complete without a $58,000 crocodile jacket by Rick Owens. Right?

Blank stare

Looks like there won't be a need to boycott the collection afterall, since 99 percent of the population can't even afford it. Geez!

And that's just the tip of the platinum crusted iceberg, folks! Check out the slideshow below for a look at Jay Z's entire overpriced collection.
