McCaughey Septuplets Celebrate 16th Birthday (VIDEO)

Famous Septuplets Celebrate Major Milestone (VIDEO)

On first glance, the McCaugheys may seem like pretty average teens: They go to high school, date and fight over who gets to drive the car. But they share a bond that makes them even closer than most siblings: They're septuplets.

You may have heard of the famous McCaughey siblings, whose claim to fame happened in 1997, when they became the first septuplets in history to make it past infancy. Today, Kenny, Alexis, Natalie, Kelsey, Nathan, Brandon and Joel are celebrating their sweet 16 together at their home in Carlisle, Iowa -- and the teens don't seem to mind sharing the spotlight.

"You have six other brothers and sisters to back you up," Nathan explained to ABC News. Watch in the video above.

However, that doesn't necessarily make decisions -- like which one of them gets to drive the family car -- any easier. In the ABC News interview, their dad, Kenny McCaughey, explained the rules.

"When you have a job, you can have a car," he said.

The McCaughey sibs aren't the only multiples to make headlines. In recent news, an incredible video shows two newborn siblings who can't seem to stop hugging -- even when in water.

Similarly, Karen Rodger of Scotland beat the odds when she gave birth to her third set of twins earlier this year. According to Metro.uk, the chances of giving birth to three sets of twins is 1 in 500,000.
