89-Year-Old Cabbie Aunt Dottie Does Things The Old Fashioned Way

With a leopard print wheel and cocktail rings on every finger, you know you're in for a ride when you step into Aunt Dottie's cab.

The 89-year old started working at SK Taxi in Nashua, New Hampshire 36 years ago as a receptionist. She quickly worked her way up and now takes to the streets Monday to Friday without the help of a GPS or cell phone.

"I'm old-fashioned," Dottie says, relying solely on her radio for dispatches.

Dottie is a town favorite, with many of her customers being older. She says they feel safer with her since she doesn't speed, drink, or smoke. But she does plan to party when she turns 90 next summer.

"Every morning, she is in her car," Samia Khoury, owner of SK Taxi, told WMUR. "Never gets sick. Never calls out. She is very amazing. I love her. Everybody loves her."

Earlier this year, New York City's oldest taxi driver, Johnnie "Spider" Footman, died at the age of 94. Like Dottie, he was a legend among taxi drivers.
