Billy Graham's Birthday Sermon Calls For 'A Spiritual Awakening' As Evangelist Turns 95 (VIDEO)

WATCH: 'Our Country Is In Great Need Of A Spiritual Awakening,' Says Billy Graham

Billy Graham's birthday party had a star-studded guest list, but the 95-year-old evangelist wanted all the focus to be on Jesus during the celebrations in Asheville, North Carolina.

He screened his last sermon, a 30-minute short film called "The Cross - Billy Graham's Message To America," to the assembled crowd, as his waning strength has made it difficult for him to preach from behind a lectern.

"Our country is in great need of a spiritual awakening. There have been times that I have wept as I have gone from city to city and I have seen how far people have wandered from God," he said. "With all my heart, I want to leave you with the truth-- that God loves you."

Focusing on Christ's sacrifice on the cross, the film was filmed over the course of last year, partly at Graham's home in North Carolina. Graham stayed true to the themes that he's preached about over the course of his career, sending a message of love and humility. He also reflected on his life, remarking, "As I look back over my life, it is full of surprises. I never thought I would become friends with people in different countries all over the world."

The video is part of Graham's "My Hope America" campaign.
