Ryan Firoved, Man Who Bragged To Girlfriend About Child Rape, Sentenced

A child rapist in Washington state who bragged to his girlfriend about his crimes was sentenced last week to a minimum of 10 years in prison.

Ryan Firoved, 37, was found guilty of attempted first-degree child rape in October, the Seattle Post Intelligencer reported. Firoved could be imprisoned for as long as the Department of Corrections believes he is a threat to children, ccording to Q 13 Fox,

Firoved was charged in July, after he traveled to a Kirkland Inn where he thought he would be meeting up with his girlfriend and her 9-year-old daughter for sex, according to the Kirkland Reporter. Instead, he found himself face to face with police officers.

The girlfriend had set him up because she told police that Firoved said he wanted to have sex with her daughter.

At the time, Firoved was married to another woman and had already been convicted in 1999 of raping a child.

"I guess you could say I am a pedophile, but at least I am not a predator. People come to me and I make it consensual," the girlfriend recalled Firoved said to her.
