'Survivor': Jeff Probst Tests Love Between Kat And Hayden

Jeff Probst is clearly loving this "Blood vs. Water" twist on the latest "Survivor." Moments after Hayden declared his unconditional love for Kat -- who'd been sent to Redemption Island in the previous episode -- Probst put that love to the test. After all, Hayden could switch places with Kat, putting her back into the game.

But the couple talked it out and decided that Hayden had a better chance of winning the game than she did. And so, they didn't make the switch. And then Kat promptly lost the challenge, eliminating herself from the game completely. Entertainment Weekly's Dalton Ross thought the couple made the right decision. After all, it was Kat who got herself sent to Redemption Island by stirring up trouble.

Andrea Reiher of Zap2It wasn't impressed with Probst's move, though. "All game he has kind of been acting like the male halves of the couples should be stepping up to protect their women and the way we see it, the returning players should be sacrificing themselves for their newbie loved ones because it's about having played before vs. giving someone new a chance, regardless of gender.”

Next week, the winner of Redemption Island returns to the game. "Survivor: Blood vs. Water" continues on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
