Protected, Buffered Bike Lanes May Be Coming Soon To Uptown

UPTOWN — The city plans to install barrier-protected and buffered bicycle lanes on Broadway in Uptown this year, and officials are coming to Uptown Wednesday for feedback from motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.

Chicago Department of Transportation spokesman Peter Scales said Monday the "improved bike lanes," would run in both directions along Broadway, from Montrose to Foster avenues, and that CDOT hopes start to start construction this year, "pending the weather.
