Many were shocked by Anna Gunn's appearance at the Emmy Awards on Sunday night (Sept. 22). Not only did she reveal her new svelte figure, but she ditched her "Breaking Bad" mom jeans for a curve-hugging Romona Keveza gown.

But Gunn was quick to address her apparent weight loss, telling People that she was actually facing an illness that made her look a bit bloated.

"I was actually ill while I was filming the show and it affected my weight," Gunn, who won an Emmy for her portrayal of Skyler White on the AMC series, explained at the Governors Ball following the awards ceremony. "They gave me cortisone and I puffed up and gained weight. Now I'm better, thank God."

As for those toned arms, Gunn, 45, admits that motherhood helped her drop some extra pounds.

"I run around after two kids!" she said of her daughters Eila Rose, 7, and Emma, 12. "And I do Pilates."
