Nigel Lythgoe, former "American Idol" executive producer and current judge and producer on "So You Think You Can Dance," took to Twitter to complain after "The Voice" won the Emmy for Outstanding Reality Competition Series.

Lythgoe said he was shocked "The Voice" took home the award, something "American Idol" never did.

"The Voice" unseated "The Amazing Race" in the category. Click through the gallery below for more Emmy winners.
