Heavy rains have produced massive flash flooding along Colorado's Front Range. As of Thursday morning, at least three people are dead, multiple roads are closed or washed out and several homes have been damaged or destroyed.
Boulder County, where two confirmed deaths occurred, has been deeply affected by the flooding, with stranded drivers, mandatory evacuations and several structure collapses across the entire county.
The University of Colorado and Naropa University have closed their Boulder campuses as did schools in Boulder Valley and St. Vrain Valley districts, due to the heavy flooding that began overnight.

CU-Boulder released this statement Thursday morning:
We cannot stress enough that this is an ongoing emergency. Weather forecasts indicate we will see several more weather systems moving through the area today. Please keep yourself safe — do not go near areas of standing water for any reason. Keep the roads clear for emergency and facilities personnel to perform their work. Do not make yourself part of the emergency.
The National Weather Service warned of an "extremely dangerous and life-threatening situation." In a particularly stark message in Thursday's Flash Flood Warning, the NWS recommended all area residents being affected by the severe flooding to "move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life. Stay away or be swept away."
