I've never really understood the attraction to press-on nails -- not even when they were the must-have manicure back when I was a teenager. But they've been popping up everywhere backstage at New York Fashion Week.
With dozens of models to get ready in just a few hours, celebrity manicurists like Deborah Lippmann and Pattie Yankee minimize the stress levels by prepping hundreds of press-on nails before the shows even begin. And Spring 2014 is all about stark white press-on nails with a touch of nail art. From silver metal strips that mimic "nail rings" to a chic reinterpretation of a French moon manicure with Swarvoski crystals, I guess white press-on nails aren't so blasé.
