David Letterman Twitter: "Late Show" Host Tweets For The First Time On-Air (VIDEO)

David Letterman tweeted for the first time yesterday while taping the "Late Show." He didn't use his own account, but his show's official stream, which has twice as many followers now as it did last night.

He used a "Twitter machine" (aka a laptop) to convey his deeply important message: "Do you smell veal and peppers?" "I feel like Lindbergh landing in France," he said, marking the momentous occasion.
