When the owners of this San Francisco church-turned-home found out their abode was going to be featured on HGTV's "You Live In WHAT?," they called in interior designer Chris Miniello to help spruce up the place. Lucky for them, Miniello was just the Godsend they needed as the home required a lot more than just some sprucing.
According to California Home & Design, the home was built in 1904 as Mormon church and was converted into a residence in 1998. To give the space a more edgy vibe and bring out the unique detailing of the place, he painted, plastered and replaced -- all in just seven days. With little touches like using rope to hang light fixtures in the dining room, turning the kitchen walls black and building a custom-made headboard for the guest room, the home was finally ready for its close-up.
