Lucille Ball once said, "Once in his life, every man is entitled to fall madly in love with a gorgeous redhead." Well, we've certainly had our share of love affairs from afar with famous fiery mane ladies.
Dying her natural brown strands red was one of the greatest risks Ball took early in her career when she was just known as the "Queen of the Bs," a title that refer to her many B-film roles. But it would become one of the late comedian's standout physical features that helped to catapult her to success in Hollywood.
The "I Love Lucy" star's bright red hair was amplified with her drawn-on eyebrows, thick and long lashes and matching red lipstick and nail polish. Though Ball's '50s hair and makeup look was overly dramatic, it has transcended decades and established her as a true style icon.
