Henry Winkler dropped by the "Late Late Show," and revealed a surprising fact to his old friend Craig Ferguson: He has a history with Jenji Kohan, the woman behind Netflix’s new hit show “Orange is the New Black.”
“The young lady who developed that show, her first show was 'Weeds,' was my intern when she was in high school," Winkler said. "Her name was Jenji. Jenji Kohan.”
“So you’re telling me interns can sometimes be useful for other things?" Ferguson joked.
Apparently it pays to be an intern for Henry Winkler, though we have no idea what that would have entailed. But if our math is correct she would’ve been in high school in the mid-80s, right around when “Happy Days” was ending.
Kohan, who also worked on "Tracey Takes On" and "Gilmore Girls," has won an Emmy for her work and "Orange Is The New Black" could earn her another. The show is getting great reviews, with many critics calling it Netflix’s best original series so far.
