NFL Players React To Arrest Of Aaron Hernandez

The arrest of Aaron Hernandez at his home on Wednesday morning sent shockwaves through the NFL community. The 23-year-old tight end was removed from his home in handcuffs by police and then soon released by the New England Patriots.

Former Patriots defensive tackle Kyle Love was among the first players to share a reaction to the news. Love and Hernandez were both rookies with the Patriots during the 2010 season. Love was released by the Patriots in May. He was then claimed off waivers by the Jaguars.

After sending those two tweets in quick succession, Love would send another tweet acknowledging that Hernandez wasn't the only person impacted.

Prayers go up for both sides! 🙏

With no charges initially announced by police, several NFL players seemed to be expressing concern for Hernandez as well as for the family of Odin Lloyd, the 27-year-old semi-pro football player who was found dead near the home of the former Patriots' star last week.
