Kate Middleton Hair & Makeup: How To Channel Her Royal Beauty (PHOTOS)

How To Channel Kate Middleton's Royal Beauty

All eyes have been on Kate Middleton since her courtship days with Prince William. Much like her royal suitor, we were captivated by Kate's flawless hair, golden glow and charming smile. And now that the two are married and expecting their first child, our infatuation with her beauty has intensified.

Having chronicled Kate's standout style moments as the Duchess of Cambridge, we've become well-versed in her hair and makeup looks. The fashionable mum-to-be loves to sport a smokey eye and bright blush, and she styles her thick brunette strands in bouncy blowouts and polished updos. (Even stars like Jennifer Aniston covet Kate's hair.)

We're pretty sure Kate has access to Britain's best hairstylists and makeup artists, but you don't need a duchess' title to channel her royal beauty. Click through the look book below to see how we did it and to shop our product picks. Then scroll down for expert tips to recreate Kate's three most popular hair and makeup looks.

Casual Romance: Loose waves and glossy lips
Starting with freshly-shampooed hair, apply a heat protectant product and roughly blow dry. Then spritz on curl-enhancing spray and set the top half of the hair with hot rollers. Use a large barrel curling iron to loosely curl the back section, allowing ringlets to cool. Remove hot rollers after 20 minutes and gently brush into loose waves. Finish hair by smoothing on a shine-enhancing serum.

Prep skin with a soothing primer or light moisturizer before applying a semi-matte foundation. Brush on a shimmering nude eyeshadow and a deep brown mascara for a less severe finish. Complete the look with a swipe of pink lip gloss.

Timeless Elegance: Half-up, half down hairstyle, bold brows and bronzed cheeks
Section hair into two parts and gather the top half into a high ponytail, teasing it at the crown to give it a bit of volume. Hide the ponytail holder by wrapping a piece of hair around the elastic. For the bottom half, brush loose waves with a boar bristle brush to create a tousled look. Set style with a blast of medium hold hairspray.

For a sun-kissed complexion, apply bronzer to the hollows of the cheeks and along the edges of your hairline. Fill in brows with a powder one shade lighter than your hair color for a natural touch. Add a pop of color to the eyes with a warm eyeshadow in a pinkish-brown hue, smudging it along the lower lids. Coat lashes with a thickening mascara.

Sophisticated Glamour: Chignon and smokey eyes
Create a messy side part and swoop over locks to one side. Gather the back section into a low ponytail, then use bobby pins to twist strands up into a chignon. For added detail, create a few small braids and wrap around the elastic holder. Tame flyaways with a smoothing serum or extra firm hold hairspray.

To get a sultry, smokey eye like Kate, draw on a thick liquid liner around entire lid. Blend on a powder shadow, brushing the product up into the crease. Use concealer to clean up and define. Applying individual false lashes to the outer lids will up the wow factor.
