Kathia St. Hilaire, Florida Art Student, Wins $20,000 Car (VIDEO)

WATCH: Art Student Gets A BIG SURPRISE

Kathia St. Hilaire is one lucky teen. In the video above, the senior at A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida got a huge surprise when she was awarded a brand-new Kia Soul.

The prize came from College Drive, an organization that gifts a car to "a graduating senior passionate about the arts who has overcome some obstacles," according to the video above.

Kathia's family is from Haiti, and her art reflects the resilience of the country. "Hearing stories from my parents about their lives in Haiti and reexamining family photos made me see the beauty of Haiti," she tells The Muse, Dreyfoos' school newspaper.

Kathia, who will be attending the Rhode Island School of Design in the fall, plans to use the car to volunteer with local youth on arts initiatives.
