Ashley Warden, Chili's Server, Fired For Anti-Police Facebook Screed

Chili's Server Fired For Epic Anti-Police Facebook Screed

Repeat it with me: You can't write whatever you want on Facebook.

Ashley Warden of Piedmont, Okla., has been fired from her waitressing job at an Oklahoma City Chili’s after posting a threatening message on the social media site, according to local news channel WFOR-TV. The threat appears to have been aimed at a group of police officers at her work, and read: “Stupid Cops better hope I'm not their server FDP." (If you’re unsure what "FDP" mean, it's time to brush up on your N.W.A..)

Somewhat impressively, this isn't Warden's first claim to local fame. She's the same woman who made headlines last November when she contested a $2,500 ticket given to her 3-year-old son for public urination, according to Oklahoma News 9.

The officer responsible was ultimately fired, and Warden was issued an apology, but that apparently was not enough to curb her antipathy toward the police.

Said Piedmont Police Chief Alex Oblein of Warden's firing: “I guess she got a bad taste in her mouth for law enforcement in general."

A Chili's spokesperson wrote in an email to The Huffington Post that “Chili's has Social Media Guidelines in place, asking our team members to always be respectful of our guests and to use proper judgment when discussing actions in the work place. When we find that team members violate these policies, they are subject to termination.”

Warden has declined to comment to local news outlets.
