HuffPost's Editor, Roy Sekoff, went on the Ed Show to discuss the new recruitment ad put out by Liz Cheney's group, Keep America Safe. The ad includes a clip of Sekoff and Ed Schultz discussing Liz Cheney, and asks, "What are they so afraid of?" After asking Ed if he thought they'd be getting residuals, Sekoff said that he actually was afraid of Cheney and her ilk. "I'm afraid because I remember the last 8 years. I remember how they alienated our allies, emboldened our enemies, and made the country and the world less safe." Sekoff and Schultz also discussed the underlying agenda of Keep America Safe, trying to cow President Obama into sending more troops into Afghanistan. "These are the same neocons who told us to forget about Afghanistan, that we needed to invade Iraq because it was the central front in the war on terror," said Sekoff. "Now they tell us Afghanistan is the central front" even though there are only 100 Al Qaeda left there.
