Vampire Weekend Streams Concert, Debuts New Material From Upcoming Album

Watch An Entire Vampire Weekend Concert, Featuring Steve Buscemi

Third time's the charm for Vampire Weekend, who are conducting one hell of a promotional campaign in advance of album No. 3, "Modern Vampires of the City," slated for release on May 14.

The latest move came Sunday night, when the band took to YouTube and VEVO to live-stream their entire New York City show at Roseland Ballroom. The concert was directed by Steve Buscemi and closed out the Tribeca Film Festival.

The New York-based indie-pop band performed new material from their upcoming album on Sunday, sparking additional excitement among fans. Their new songs "Obvious Bicycle" and "Everlasting Arms" follow the March 18 release of the double A-side single containing "Diane Young" and "Step." The concert came with an added social media twist: Because enough fans tweeted reactions to the American Express Unstaged-produced show using the hashtag #AmexUnstaged, the band unveiled additional behind-the-scenes footage after the concert, including a backstage performance of "White Sky" that featured Buscemi and Fred Armisen as his character Ian Rubbish.

Vampire Weekend will also usher in the release of "Modern Vampires" with a performance on the highly anticipated Kristen Wiig-hosted episode of "Saturday Night Live" on May 11, just a few days before the album is released.
