Joe Biden: NRA Is Good At Spreading 'Disinformation' (VIDEO)

Biden Slams NRA For Spreading 'Disinformation'

Vice President Joe Biden criticized the National Rifle Association for succeeding in spreading "disinformation" as the debate over gun control has heated up.

"The one thing the NRA has done so well lately is the disinformation," Biden said during a roundtable interview with MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

Biden made similar comments at a press conference on Tuesday, claiming the NRA was running "campaign of disinformation to try to scare people."

After meeting with Biden in January 2013, NRA representatives said they were "disappointed" that "this Administration continues to insist on pushing failed solutions to our nation's most pressing problems."

Talking about why people own guns during the "Morning Joe" roundtable, Biden said "they just like the feel" of it, comparing the feeling to "driving a Ferrari."

"There is a whole new sort of group of individuals now that never hunt at all, but they own guns for one of two reasons -- self-protection, or they just like the feel of that AR-15 at the range," Biden said. "They like the way it feels. It's like driving a Ferrari, do you know what I mean?"

Biden noted that hunters he recently met with in Delaware "are embarrassed with this notion that somehow these guys are being -- doing something that is inappropriate owning guns."
